Renewable Fuels Month Classroom Contests

Elementary

For grades K-5, “How do renewable fuels and agriculture connect?” Learn about biofuels and use your art skills to show what you learned!

 

Entries will be voted on in age groups K-2 and 3-5 by Nebraska state senators later in May. Winning artwork will be featured in various publications, social media, and on our website (fueledbynebraska.com).

Middle/High School

We are challenging Nebraska educators to find one biofuels lesson plan for your middle school or high school classroom. 

 

Submit photos and a short reflection on what you and the students learned and were surprised with by May 17 to jessica.sodeke@nebraska.gov. 

 

Entries will be reviewed by representatives from the Nebraska Corn Board, Nebraska Ethanol Board, Nebraska Soybean Board, and Renewable Fuels Nebraska. One classroom will receive a $500 scholarship to use to implement renewable fuels education at your school.
